Although we are not beekeepers,  we are very selective with our beeswax providers. We have developed long-standing relationships with conscientious beekeepers in the USA and choose to support them exclusively. By making the choice to support local farmers and purchasing fairly-traded wax, we are helping to maintain a farming culture and support bee populations.
Yes. All of our beeswax candles use 100% cotton wicks manufactured in the USA.
The melting point of beeswax is higher than paraffin and soy wax, as a result, beeswax requires a larger wick to burn efficiently. We choose our candle wick size for the best flame to burn ratio which allows the candle to burn brightly, avoid tunneling, and burn down almost entirely.
Paraffin is a petroleum by-product that is bleached and cleaned with solvents and other chemicals to prepare it for candle use. It produces soot and emissions when burned. Because it has a lower melting point and no natural scent, it is often chemically hardened and filled with artificial fragrances.
Beeswax candles come in their natural state. The only process the wax goes through is filtering.
As soon as you plan to burn your pilar candle, please remove the label.
Yes! We take the extra step to filter beeswax right here in our shop to take out any remaining impurities. This extra step takes time but it ensures a clean burning candle. We do this filtering ourselves so we know that is a completely non-toxic process with no chemical additives.
Our candles are all carefully handmade in our Pennsylvania shop.  After our wax is filtered, the candles are made by pouring liquid wax into molds and containers or dipping the wick until the desired size is reached.  Then the candles are cooled, trimmed, finished, labelled and boxed.

Burning the candle for extended periods of time results in a large pool of melted wax and as beeswax cools, it shrinks slightly, which can sometimes cause cracking. This will not affect the quality or burn time of the candle. The larger the diameter of the candle, the more possible it is to crack on top after cooling.
No. We do not add any chemicals to our naturally scented beeswax candles. Each of our container candles are scented with a premium USA manufactured fragrance or essential oil and use a USA lead-free 100% cotton wick, are clean burning, hypo-allergenic, phthalate, paraffin free and do not contain lead or any other toxins found in other types of candles.
Natural Ingredients

Our beeswax pillar candles are not recommended for use in a hurricane glass or other tightly fitting containers. Beeswax has a high melting point and burns at a hotter temperature than other waxes; using a hurricane container creates a convection effect by both disturbing the air flow around the candle (causing smoking wicks that burn too fast) and retaining extra heat inside the glass (causes dripping and eventually the pillar walls to collapse). Our glass container candles have heat resistant glass that are not prone to heat cracking.

No! Our naturally colored beeswax candles do not contain any dyes or additives. The raw beeswax we use comes from the hive as a light golden yellow color.
This white film, called bloom, is normal and occurs to all pure beeswax. This is caused because some of the components of the beeswax migrate to the surface, and will appear a few weeks to a few months after the candle is made. If you prefer a polished look without bloom, it can be easily removed by wiping the candle with a soft cloth, applying gentle heat with a hair dryer, or placing the candle in warm sunlight. Even though the bloom is easily removable, many people actually desire this effect as it tends to give the beeswax candle a unique and rustic look and feel. Bloom on a candle means it is 100% pure beeswax. This is an easy way to verify your pure beeswax candle really is 100% beeswax.
We believe that beeswax candles should be made from pure beeswax.  Unfortunately, as the popularity of beeswax grows, so do the number of people mixing/blending it with inferior waxes. We say 100% pure beeswax so you know that you are getting only beeswax in our products. There are no regulations mandating that a product made with beeswax and states it is made with beeswax must be 100% beeswax. Read other product labels carefully and watch for the words “blend” and “mix” and “made with” to ensure that you getting exactly what you are paying for, pure 100% USA beeswax
We are proud to source not only our 100% beeswax from the USA but we also source, our containers, wicks, labels, 100% pure essential oils, premium fragrance oils and packaging from USA manufactures.
Yes, beeswax is very resilient. We have shipped year-round all over the US without any issues.  Rest assured your beeswax candles will be delivered perfectly intact regardless of the weather.
